pirateradio_200909221203I am a fan of Pirate Radio, spinning in the motor and picking up the illegal sounds of the Pirates. There are a lot in London, and South to be specific – but its part of the British music culture – spin music that you would not find elsewhere on the airwaves.

Look I know its not the sound of the street, where DJ Spin tells you to drop a text to 07799 34342434323 and so on but more a happy Brit film about a pretty interesting true story.

So, comes a Richard Curtis Film, where ‘Rock and roll will live forever’ – but can it float? Pirate Radio is the newest ensemble comedy from filmmaker Richard Curtis (screenwriter of Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill, and writer/director of Love Actually), spinning the irreverent yet fact-based tale of a seafaring band of rogue rock and roll deejays whose “pirate radio” captivated and inspired 1960s Britain.
